    Morganman..
    Daggarjon is right!
Please never feel that way..this is not about who has what or what condition it is in..it is simply notes we think are beautiful...

RickieB and Daggerjon, I appreciate the comments, I haven't been collecting all that long and to see notes like RickieB has I guess I'm kind of in awe because those notes are beautiful and beautifully expensive. I have around 1200 banknotes from around the world and about 150 or so U.S. notes. Here is a link to BanknoteBank as I am trying to photograph and upload. I have been busy flying with the Air Force and haven't had time to get them uploaded, but I retire in 28 days so I'll have all kinds of time around Jan 1st. So far I only have around 275 posted. I have really learned a lot from you all and this forum. Looking forward to learning and seeing more notes. Thanks again for everyone's input and knowlege on this site.

Here are a few that I find are very attractive. But as they say, 'Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder'.

1.) Silk 'Proof' from the KHANATE OF KHIVA. Test note for the 250 Ruble silknote to be dated 1337 AH/1919 AD. To me, it looks like a miniature oriental rug.

2.) 100,000,000 Ruble from the TRANSCAUCASIAN S.F.S.R. 1924. The color is very attractive, as well as the pattern. I like the design of the coat of arms which looks like a mosaic, and the writing is very interesting as well, especially the Armenian and Georgian legend.

3.) 25 Ruble from ARKHANGELSK (SOVIET) dates from 1918. What this note lacks in color variation, it makes up for in the prisitine image of the Arctic coast line with the Walrus, Snow Leopard?, and the aurora borealis in the backdrop.

4.) 20 Korun from CZECHOSLOVAKIA (SOCIALIST REPUBLIC) 1988. The vibrant colors and the detailed designs are what captivated me about this note. Very beautiful compared to the typically drab notes of most the communist block countries.

These are notes from Syria, printed by Banque de France. Syria and Lebanon notes from about 1925 to 1935 were printed by BdF, and are very hard to find at all, let alone in any kind of decent condition. These are very representative, and have wonderful scenes on them, some look like oriental carpets... they're just beautiful. And of course the "French" printing, colors, paper, etc.

Unfortunately, most often, this is what you find if you look for them.
