Wow...they are some of the nicest MPCs I've seen,beautiful colors /Vignettes & Grades !!!
After Christmas $$$$ I'm going to work on getting a few new MPCs.

 

Here's a couple I am fond of.. the over tint and the Train are wonderful...

That train Vignette I've never seen used on other Obsoletes what Bank note Co engraved it ?,all of them are beautiful in colors as well.the obsoletes are looking more & more interesting in beauty & price !

 

Those are two notes I was thinking about posting! Both are really nice.

Instead, I'll post one I received today. I've seen this note in print and the Web many times, but nothing I've seen does it justice! Its a large note and the many details on the note are wonderful. It is enclosed in a very nice cover.

Front: Portrait of the King and Queen, to the left of the portrait are mongrams of the King and Queen (Bhor Por Ror representing the King and Sor Kor representing the Queen, below the monograms is a vignette depicting the investiture ceremony of Her Majesty, Garuda at right center, under the Garuda is a vignette depicting the Coronation ceremony. The outer frame is printed with embossed gold strip to signify the 50th anniversary celebration. Gold-colored optically-variable hologram foil that displays the portrait of the King and the Queen alternately when the note is tilted, microprinting of the number "50" surrounds the hologram, to the left of the hologram is a wide metallic security thread that contains two lines of mico-lettering indicating in Thai, "Long Live Their Majesties"

Back: Map of Romania having the colors of the national flag (blue, yellow, and red). The map marks the main points where the solar eclipse was visible in a path moving along the map from west to east.

In celebration of the total solar eclipse of August 11, 1999, the National Bank of Romania (BNR) decided to issue a commemorative two thousand Romanian lei banknote. Since it was the last eclipse of the millennium, the denomination was chosen to be 2000 in respect to the upcoming year.
The banknote was designed by Romanian artist Nicolae Siăftoiu, who is credited with the designs on which all Romanian banknotes printed since the 1989 Revolution are based.

 

Those are some gorgeous obsolete notes RickieB!!!!! Here is another favorite of mine.

 

My favorite notes I own are ones from Iraq with Saddam's face on them. They aren't worth much but I know the story of how they got to the US from Iraq...and it's an interesting one if anybody is curious and wants to hear it.

 

I hope I speak for the majority -- I think we always want to hear stories!

 

Now you just have to love that note!!
