Welcome to the forum richboy. Why do you want to know the cost? The cost of what?

It all depends on the site you choose how much they charge you to sell it.

not the cost to sell it.but the cost of each error coin.let's say the price for a die crack coin in bu condition.

Oh Ok, A picture of each would be a must to determine the value. Damaged coins don't really have a value unless it's a rather large crack that takes up most of the die. You could do a search on the web or find some on e-bay that some deceitful seller is trying to cheat the public.

Ebay, dude. Put in a good description and photos and you will see what they are worth on the open market.

You really need to educate yourself on what you really have. There's many sellers (on e-bay at least) that make up a name for something and attach a ridiculous price to it. Most of the info on error's and varieties can be found right here on this site.

Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely NOT promoting that you got out and give some made up name to it and try to rip someone off. And I would be the first to go out and find out what I've got, but there is nothing wrong with being perfectly honest with what you have, giving a good description and picture and seeing if someone would want it.

It cost a cent and is worth a cent.

It cost a cent and is worth a cent.
Unless you can hold it at arms length and see it (the die crack) very well it's very common to find cents with die cracks.

What is not uncommon is to see being sold on ebay. And some are listed correctly as just having die cracks.

I suggest you take a look at the error coins pages on ebay and you will be surprised by how many 2009 Lincoln cents you see. Ppl have milked that cow to no end. Sometimes I've been checking em out and it's unbelievable what some ppl think an error is. Sure they may be selling them for 0.99 cents but do you really want to post and mail out for 99 cents? You may have an error, but an extra finger? C'mon now youngster! :D 1 cent is what it's worth!! just my 2 cnts

    Here's a hint:

Do you really mean "what is the value?"
