Zaneman...is that a coin mark running down the forehead through the eye on down? Perhaps if you could get a direct birdseye view camera shot and put a paper towel over your flash to tone it down some...if it is a contact mak..I will say AU58 to MS60...but do not hold me to it! I am not versed in the grading of small cents! Good luck!!

Can you get a better photo of the date and MM?
I would like to see the S alittle better...

Unless you can get some better up close photos I can't say for the grade...I can't see bag marks or hair lines or such....the jaw looks like it has some wear but the rest of the coin looks fine...it looks like there is good luster on the back but it doesn't show on the front...I've seen some like this that were in coin folders and got wear on one side but didn't show it much on the other...then it would graded by the lower side...
Just a guess...from these shots...MS63/4...if that is wear on the jaw...AU...
Since this looks to be an ebay photo I hope you haven't won the coin...and then asked...that is one thing that happens to many collectors...they buy the coin and THEN ask the question...its best to ask...if possible...and then buy.
I have passed up many good deals and many good coins because I just didn't know much about them and didn't feel good about putting out the $$$...
--one coin I remember was a chain cent...it was high $$ but I could have paid it off in a few weeks...but I didn't feel the best of putting out the $$...if I had..by now I would have a much more $$$$ coin then it was when I saw it...

Could be the pic, but I'd say AU50.

It is an ebay picture, so I can't get bettter pictures. I'm trying to put together a lincoln collection of all ms-60 or better pieces. It will take forever as it will be very expensive. I think I am going to pass on this 31-s, as it is at 250 BIN.

There are 3 of them listed right now, slabbed by PCGS or NGC as MS64 or better - for less ;)

Hello Zaneman,That looks like a nice coin although I don't collect Lincolns. This was up for sale on FLEABAY:

Please don't misunderstand that I think your coin is a repro. But i was just at my local dealer and he showed me a copy of a PCGS Guide of counterfeit & reproduced coins & it was amazing how much trouble guys go through to change dates & mintmarks on coins. It takes a lot of talent to do it & you wonder if they got an honest job they could probably make real money.
He sent a 1916D mercury dime off to be graded & it came back as an added mintmark& if he hadn't told me I wouldn't know &he could sell tomorrow online as the real thing if he wasn't honest.
The point is the PCGS guide he showed me has close ups of specific spots on the coins from die marks that are endemic to that particular coin which a mintmark mover
    can't duplicate.
I won't pay much of a premium for a key coin online any longer that is not slabbed from a reputable company.I am relatively new to the forum & I have seen other
posts reguarding this matter & am now in complete agreement.
AGAIN I want to stress that I am not implying that your is not genuine.I think it is.But I thought this an opportune time tell others what I learned this past weekend. Thanks & Good Luck.Bob.

I have seen something similar. I bought a 1911-s (or so I thought), that turned out to be a 1941 s with the 4 altered to appear as a one. Thankfully I didn't get burned too bad.
