You know what to do. Please be specific as to why you think this coin is graded as it is.

64 lovely cracks might go with PL.

I guessed 63. I'm a complete newbie, so take it for it's worth. I don't see any wear to bring it down to AU, Liberty looks extra sharp, and the chatter seems to be consistent with what my untrained, bifocaled eyes seem to see on ms63 coins at auction sites.

    Obverse:
Good strike, plenty of luster. Die polishing lines and bag marks shouldn't be much of a detractor, but the ding on her nose and the lumpy effects on her eye are prominent. Don't know if it is PL or the reflection of a dark camera shell. MS 64

    Reverse:
Better than obverse, good strike, no wear on eagle. A few nice die cracks and good luster. MS65

Overall: Nice eye appeal, reverse better than obverse, looks more PL than obverse normally I would estimate MS64 but I think it probably got a CC bump.

My estimation of grade MS65 PL

MS 63....luster looks solid, strike is good, fields are baggy on both sides.

definitely MS.. I think 63 due to moderate number of dings and scrapes in focal areas esp. on the obv.

Textbook 63, maybe 63+ doesn’t appear to have PL surfaces though. PLish yes, but the contrast is not strong enough for a PL designation.

MS64, very nice looking coin with lots of luster, a fair bit of chatter on the cheeks which probably keeps it from reaching 65 IMO. Borderline on a PL designation, but I'm thinking it didn't quite cut it, close though :)

Hint: look more carefully at the fields. What looks like chatter are multiple die cracks. Also, lots of die markers, and striations.

MS-64, too much obverse chatter to go gem but it is a nice looking coin.

Compare it to this one I have. One of my favorites.

I’m with this. It’s a beautiful coin. MS63 would be my technical grade, not market grade. I think the market will jump on it like it’s a grade higher, easy.

This coin definitely got the benefit of a CC bump. However, it does have very high luster, a razor sharp strike, and a PL reverse. What looked like chatter in the fields is a bunch of die cracks. One guesser picked up that it is a GSA, graded by NGC.

I said 64 and I am surprised that she’s a 65. I’m pleased for you that it is.

I am not surprised. The chatter, if you look carefully, is a bunch of die cracks.

For some reason I just didn’t see them as that. Also I’m seeing marks on the slab that I mistakenly thought were chatter on the coin. I must have responded when it was cloudy. Lol

    It’s a beautiful coin.
