I posted a thread about a month ago of the 1936 FS-01-101 that I found in a bulk purchase of Wheats. I just recently found an imposter of this doubled die. I first look at the date when I put coins under the scope. This is an extremely circulated coin and I first thought lighting had struck twice. But, it is a Strike Doubled imposter of the 101. I will post a couple of photos of the real 101 and the imposter 101. Real 1636 FS-01-101 Imposter 1936 101
Sorry. I haven't a clue as to your point. If you are referring to an "imposture" as a fake, why would someone try to do that? I see a beat up highly circulated cent, nothing more. Maybe you can enlighten us.
I know that this is basically a worthless coin. I did find the authentic FS-101-001 about a month ago. If the first thing you look at is the date, it will give you a start that it could be another 101-001 in very rough condition. I do feel fortunate to have the real thing that is currently at the graders.
It's hard to tell. It's heavily worn, but is that obscuring? Show us a little more of the motto if you can.
