I have restored a couple of classic cars in my time, and I am just getting in the coin collecting hobby (2 years). Coins are easier to carry, cheaper to fix up and store. Therefore, I was thinking of using a crossover skill to improve my profitability from coins. I think ETSY would run an ad for me and I could find a buyer there as well, what do you think? I found my barn find auto eleven years ago when I still had enough octane in my tank to do something with it. I do love me a classic car too...... Buuutttt I rather think this particular quarter is beyond restoration...
You got your advertising wrong. You want a shot at $250 for it, these days, advertise as a potential Mint error.
With your patience and skill, you surely could restore that into a fine hobo nickel. Much like restoring a classic car. 25k thrown at it returns 5k.
