There are so many amazing coins right now! I haven't seen so many choices on HA in at least a year. Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone looking to buy ancients.

Don't worry, Ed and I like to mess with each other. Besides, he won't see my post til he gets back from minesweeping.
Okay money bags, Heritage Auctions? That stuff is deep - I wish I had a couple grand or more in my monthly budget so I could shop there. I have been spending $500 a month lately (I only have one kid still in college) and I can't afford Heritage or any of those other awesome auction sites, lol, I'm on eBay, in the Sales Corner here and occasionally I bid on a local auction online though (Charter Oak). I can't wait until I'm vaccinated and I can go to a coin show or local coin shop - I'm totally going to do that.
The one ancient coin I was able to buy in a Heritage auction was a very special piece, and I paid a record price for the grade. Heritage auctions are a bit like being three years old in a candy store with cases that are four feet high. In addition, all most all of the ancient coins they sell are certified. Many ancient collectors prefer their coins raw.
I have the $2,000+ budget, and I have a hard time winning lots at Heritage. It’s a clear message as to whom I should consign my collection when it comes time to sell.
would have, should have, could have... Would of, should of, could of; is my one grammatical pet peeve.
Yeah but it’s more “chat” than it is about Ancients. I was going to put it in Ancients until I realized that.
