AU58. Breast is a little flat even for that mint. For how the market will take her, she’s cut up pretty good, but booming with luster, so a wash, I’m thinking.
I'll be contrarian and say MS62. Downgraded my initial MS63 impression due to the mark on Liberty's neck. I do see the rub on the eagle's breast the others noted, but think they might have considered that light "cabinet friction" and not enough to pull it down into the AU spectrum. Then again, it is entirely possible I'm wrong there. So I'll guess 62, but a point or two in either direction from there wouldn't surprise me. Nor would an AU58 grade, I suppose. How's that for being all over the map? Still, I'll go out on a limb with 62.
I think there is a tiny bit of wear. I think there are too many marks to call it AU58...mainly due to the mark on the neck. I'm at AU55.
Here’s the reveal. CDN says the price more than triples at MS60 and shoots up from there. Very lusty coin, but some wear. I think it’s graded correctly. Better dates, such as this one, seldom get a slide into low MS, I’ve found.
