You can say I'm not a very focused numismatist. Regardless, it's plenty to keep me occupied for the coming years.
12 Caesars Imperatorial and late Republican Roman coins Silver world coins State and park quarters with my little kid Unfortunately I sometimes get distracted by something that looks very interesting at the time, but then at some point I have to ask myself where it fits into any sort of organized collection.

Usually quite a few. Right now: - Roman Emperors - I am up to Constantine the Great, with a few very minor ones missing before him. Pentinax is currently #1 on my list. Finding one with all the lettering is hard. - British kings - I am missing a few between Alfred the Great and Cnut the Great. - Political tokens and pin back pins with slogans related to campaign issues. This is sort of open ended. - Confederate currency although I have sort of reached the wall on that one. What’s left are all 1861 notes, and they are too expensive for the most part. - Current Proof set in silver from the mint. Maybe the new commemorative coins if they grab me. Most of them don’t these days.
Achaemenid 4th century BC Levantine Athenian-imitatives Yehud Macedonian Ptolemaic Seleucid Hasmonean Herodian Nabatean Parthian Roman Republic Roman Imperial Roman Provincial Byzantine Islamic (including Arab-Byzantine) Crusader and Medieval (Not to mention the sub-collections: Damnatio examples, 12 Caesars, Roman Procurators of Judea, coins of St. Paul's travels, coins of each of the 7 city churches who received letters in Revelation, coin from each century (4th through 21st century) with a Christian emblem/phrase/portrayal, AE4 SALVS coins of Valentinian II, modern coins of Israel, and I betcha' I've forgotten some.)
Changes from time to time but right now. Mercury graded Full Bands set & Mercury graded MS Roosevelt graded FB set. Lincoln graded proofs.
Seated Liberty Halves. Ongoing for about ten years. Upgrading lower graded examples as finances allow. Unless I win the lottery some will never be added.
My ADD sets. I started out with a plan to focus on only a couple sets and then something else catches my eye and I'm down a side road. My primary ones are 1916 and 1923 birth years sets, IHC, Buffalo Nickel, 3 Cent Nickel, Lincoln Cent (MS and Proof; 3rd time around). These in addition to several completed modern sets. Of course the odd balls for my type set.
Currently but s-l-o-w-l-y working on: US Type Set 1793 through 1964. US Large Cents. US Half Cents. US Classic Commemoratives. Coins/Medals that have anything to do with New Mexico (my home state). British Victorian Type Set. British Conder Tokens (just ones that appeal to me). Byzantine Folles. Canadian Type Set. Ancients that I like - mostly Greek. Medievals from English Monarchs (when I can find nice affordable ones). And if a coin is (in my opinion) beautifully toned, I'll try to get it.
I started a very long time ago. From a Boy Scout camping trip. 1st was Cents, then Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, and Halves. Then into US currencies. Then fractionals, MPC, Star Notes as well as any type of replacements notes. So now I have slowed down. Almost. All I have collected has come from circulation. Only bought the ones to finally fill the sets. I metal detect, collect bottles of all types, arrowheads, Rocks of all kinds, did stamps, weapons also. Way too much now.
