A huge shout out to a new friend "Joe"
It all started a few months ago, I got an email from Jack a while back saying that this guy "Joe" was trying to get ahold of me, at first I was worried of course about the collection and security. I emailed him just to chat see what was up. Well it came down to he said he couldn't join cointalk, because his only computer is at work, but he reads all the time. Well after a few emails we swapped mailing addresses and to be honest, I forgot all about it.
Well now, several months later I got a package in the mail. Here's what I found.
So Joe, I know you'll read this and be unable to reply. But thanks a ton buddy! These will NEVER leave my collection. Love the slabbed sand dollar!
It was a little hard to capture the Luster, but let me tell you folks! This S Dollar certainly is worth the MSPF 71* slab it resides in. The broken off chunk is a mint error...

  4. Very cool! Sometimes the kindness of strangers is just astounding, isn't it?

I have noticed that many lurkers tend to be really nice people, who for whatever reason don't post, either not able to or just want to stay out of the spotlight. Or who knows? While I have not been around the coin forums too long to know a lot of lurkers, in one of my other hobbies, where I have been on the message boards for almost a decade now, I have made the aquaintence of a few and on several occasions it is by an email out of the blue saying they had something they wanted to mail me saying I would appreciate it more then they would.

Someday I hope to be able to repay their kindness!

As for me, lurking just isn't in my blood...I'm a writer by nature, who else has written a message board post that when pasted into Word was 11 pages? LOL. I have tried lurking, but I just can't do it. I think the longest I've lasted reading and not posting was a week and a half. If I have an answer for a question that has remained unanswered, I am compelled to reply. On the coin forums I do more asking of questions then answering them though.

    GREAT!

Could this be cracked out and crossed over to a NUMA holder and hand signed by Dirk Pitt?
