1926 st.gaudens twenty

    what would be the highest grade i could purchase a 1926 st.gaudens twenty dollar gold coin for,if i didn't want to spend more than $1,000 dollars. i would prefer to buy a ngc or pcgs slabbed coin as i am leary of counterfeits.thank you.

    I'm going to guess MS63/64...I don't collect gold so I can't say for sure...it might be hard to find on in that grade for that price as I think that is a harder date.

    Shop around and don't buy the first one you see.

    Should be able to get NGC or PCGS MS64 for about $725 - $750 without any problem.
