Is this a common error for 1974?

Could get a couple opinions on my 1974 quarter error. I'm curious if its common or or worth selling to someone who needs it.
Also my 1991 dime seems to be copper and is smooth around the edges. Thanks for your time!

You’ll have to post a full size pic of the quarter and tell us what error you see.
The dime may be missing a clad layer, post a pic of the edge...Spark

The quarter is a misaligned die. The dime looks to be environmental damage.

That is a great photo of your 1974 quarter. It's worth about $1,000! The dime ain't worth crap. You should learn more about the hobby before you start looking for buried treasure.

The quarter is very common MAD (Mis-Aligned Die) with NAV (No Additional Value).

The dime appears to have all its cladding. The color change could be “improperly annealed” but is more likely ED (Environmental Damage), as @coloradobryan said, clad coins look like this when unearthed, as in: dug up out of the ground when found by metal detector. The reeding on the dime has been obliterated, this is usually the result of being spoon hammered which is PMD (Post-Mint Damage)...jmho...Spark

@Spark1951 hit all of the key points. Neither NAV, or no added value.
Welcome to CT and keep checking those coins. Good luck.

I wasn't looking for it necessarily I just notice obvious differences in coins and other things. Since I really like money I figure it could hurt to see if I could make some while getting a coin to a collector. Thanks for the feed back!

Cheech is referring to this Kennedy half dollar that is missing the clad layer.
