    Road rash. The obverse was facing down on a hard road and a few cars scraped it on the surface.

    It looks like a meteor shower hit it. Did you leave it out one night? That's probably when it happened. That's exactly what they look like, though. The bad news is, it's common. There are rumors people even find these in parking lots, even the street.

    Concrete plus weight. I think you could get that from stepping on it while on a sidewalk. Copper is so soft and scratched so easy. But I like the toning.

    What happened?

    I think @lordmarcovan forgot to feed his cats after a long night of moderating CT and one of them started gnawing on the coin. :hilarious: :happy: :cat:
