Thanks for sharing the video @galba68 , I found it very interesting and will look into his website on the weekend. A really good book that I have read is called “The Roman Forum” by David Watkin. In it he uses engravings from a young artist who visited Rome in the 17th century (it was used basically a pasture and cattle auction area). He then goes methodically through each major archaeological excavation carried out since then which most were quit haphazard. it is actually very surprising how much of what you see today in the Forum are actually 19th-20th century reproductions. However, they don’t let you know about that when you visit or take a tour. The book cover.
