    Very kind of you :)
In honor of @lordmarcovan and your mom's pup, here is one of our two.
Her name is Bella and she was a rescue from when we lived in Hawaii. She's a Chihuahua/Fox Terrier mix aka Taco Terrier. She is thankfully more terrier than chihuahua and is the sweetest dog I've ever been lucky enough to have in my life.

She's almost 12 now. Every time we take her anywhere, nobody believes it. She has the personality of a puppy.
I wish the same could be said about her brother, another Taco Terrier who took on the Taco personality....he is a curmudgeon on the best of days. :) He also has a weird thing for feet...but I'm not judging haha.

I like coins that are cool and unusual. Most of my best junk/bargain bin finds in world/ancient coins happen when I buy coins that are, well, cool and unusual.

On that note, I’d get the 1723 2R with the counterstamp. That one just speaks most to me. It’s a 1700s 2R, which is cool enough on its own, but the counterstamp gives it an extra level of historical interest. I love it.

Wish I could solve the riddle of the enigmatic counterstamp on that one. Luchtaine, one of the French members on CollecOnline, has suggested it might be of Arabic origin.

Depending on what it is, a firm ID on that counterstamp could increase the value of the coin considerably, I suppose, despite the quality issues it has.

Love those autumn woods. Looks like a good place for a walk. Bet she smelled all kinds of interesting stuff. One good squirrel sighting, and it’s off to the races, I bet. Hang on tight to that leash!

I missed this post earlier. Now there’s a bear dog with good taste in coins!

Our dogs would only be interested in coins if you smeared them with beef fat or something like that.

Teddy, our own bear-dog (a German shepherd-blue heeler mix), did show an interest when I was shooting a tutorial on my simple slab-cracking technique, however. He had to stick his snout in there to see what was goin' on.

It was a defective slab. NGC has a quality control issue where some slabs weirdly bloat over time, as if they’re going to explode. Must be from gases trapped inside. I discarded the defective clear outer shell of that slab and snapped the white inner insert containing the coin into a new plastic shell from a Lighthouse brand “self slab”. It fit perfectly, and now you can’t tell the clear outer shell isn’t official NGC product unless you look at the edge.

That's the only one I did that with, though I had three slabs with that defect. The others were sold as-is, inside their bloated NGC slabs, and the buyers were told about that problem up front.

Entry Post. Thanks very much for the contest. LM - you are what makes this site great fun. If my random number were to be drawn I would go immediately for the Philippine Peso or the Mexican Peso. Thanks!

    Thank you, Lord!

I love U.S. 2 and 3 cent pieces, so I would opt for:

What a great piece of history! However, I am sometimes kinda fickle.

Thanks for these great giveaways; they are such fun. Since I primarily collect US coins, and I don't have one of these yet, I would go with the 1865 US 2-cent piece. Maybe one day I'll go to the dark side instead (like the antoninianus of Victorinus, ca. 270-271 AD) since those oldies are fascinating. But still, I really don't have a 2-cent piece at all.
