I finally picked up my first Web note. My question is, i'm trying to get a ballpark value of this note and my books are somewhat dated. I want to record this in my notes. In case the pics are too small, it has f/p 1 and b/p 1.
    Any help would be appreciated..

FL Run 12 plates 1/1 - rarity factor of 2, printed in july 1992.

not one of the 50 top rare webs, so no huge value. And with the wear, no added premium either. I would think maybe $5-10.

Web notes are pretty hard to guess at prices unless the block has a track record of being highly saught after. To my knowledge, this block does not. But with any web, with the high degree of price fluctuations that happen daily, the only way to know a pretty accurate price, is to see 1 sell from the same block with the same plate numbers. otherwise, i would think the note is pretty common, and hence the price range i gave.

Eh? I'm no expert on these, but the F..L was only the second block of webs issued (after the B..L), and would've been pretty thoroughly circulated before many collectors realized anything was going on. Even with a common plate combination, I'd expect this block to be worth more than that....

This site lists it at $40 in Fine, $70 in VF. And I know that site's prices are always way too high, but by a factor of ten?

that is why i made the comment of needing to see a realized sale. I could easily be way off.

For being the second block printed, the notes in the block are not 1 that is classified as being the rarest. but blocks printed after have notes that are (like the EK block run 10 plates 3-2 with less then 5 known printed in April 1993). Is it possible some or all of the FL block was held for some reason and released after the web note craze took off, and hence more were saved? I dont know, its mear conjecture.

The site you linked to is awsome, and really needs to be bookmarked by any collector of web notes, but yes, there prices are super high on alot of notes, but at times, even accurate. Because web notes go through alot of ups and downs for collectors, prices can rise and fall from 1 day to the next, all depending on the number of collectors looking for that note.

If the note posted by the OP sells for $40, great, but i could just as easily see it sell for less. Lets hope it is closer to $40 :)
