Many of you may have seen some of my other posts, but my nephews are quite young (7 and 9) and they have taken an interest to coin collecting. Recently they have only been collecting Quarters and "gold" dollars, but I thought it may be nice to get them at least interested in some nicer coins (The goal being to teach them about value and money and all that) Being that they are as young as they are and my sister has ZERO interest in coins (asked me where she could buy them silver eagles for a dollar :mouth::mouth::mouth::mouth I pretty much have to supply their collections for them. I started by grabbing a silver eagle folder for each of them, they seemed to enjoy it quite a bit. (they will be getting more eagles for Xmas) Not long ago they got a rubik's 360 and after about 45 min of frustration I told them if and when they could solve it I would give them 100$ About 4 or 5 months later they came to me with it solved... I asked them how they wanted payment... cash, silver, or gold. To my joy and surprise they responded "gold". So anyways, today I grabbed some 1/20th oz Panda gold coins for them. As you all know they are freaking tiny so I put them in these custom holders I made hya: I am going to swing by after work and drop them off. Wish my uncle would have given me gold coins when I was their age!! Attached is the holder I made so they wont lose the coins, lemie know what you think!
excellent idea! I like the fact that you can "hide" them in with other Jewel cases for security as well
