2009 Numismatic Pennies

    Is there a way to tell if a 2009 penny is one of the special numismatic pennies, other than its inclusion in a special mint cent?

    Weigh it. A zinc cent will weigh 2.70+/- grams and the Coppers will weigh 3.11 G +/-.

    If you compare a cent from the mint set to a cent from a bank roll, you will notice that the finish is different. The mint sets are satin finished.
