This freakin' thread was started over four years ago and nobody has posted a picture of this elusive coin/medal, yet everybody seems to know what it is. I don't. Pic's?

My 8 year old daughter found this old coin/token in Lake Athens in Texas and was wondering if anyone knows its origin? From what time period, it's usage and worth.

I too have one of these coins/metals and found it in Toronto, Ontario. I saw one being bid on eBay and it went for a grand total of $2.99. That one came from Regina, Saskatchewan. So I'm guessing that they're not worth much.......ha. Still would love to hear about it's background if anyone has any info......thanks

 

what you have my friend is a coronation medal....whether it is real or not i dont know.i just bought one with a different date in a box.

 

which is what most sellers do on raw coins on ebay.........at least the cleaning part. i was buying on there for a short time until a good 70 percent of what i purchased came back cleaned. I sure wish people on that site would somehow get this response that you wrote because theres alot of great coins out there getting destroyed by a simple rub,wash...soak,etc.
