thats for a Troy pound... i may be wrong, but arent there only 12 onces in a Troy pound? Now if a troy ounce is the same as a regular ounce that would be over $10 an ounce for this coin......

    1 troy ounce = 480 grains = 31.1 grams
    12 troy ounces = 1 troy pound = 5,760 grains = 373 grams

    1 ounce av. = 438 grains = 28.3 grams
    16 ounces av. = 1 lb. av. = 7,000 grains (corrected) = 454 grams

So, an ounce of gold weighs more than an ounce of feathers, but a pound of feathers weighs more than a pound of gold.

but can you say it that way or do you have to say a troy ounce of gold is more than an ounce of feathers? or do you think it wont matter? thats some good trivia stuff
