It sounds like the mint will be screwing all of us again.

What I suggested on a similar post that mint should strike them to demand and even allow them to be bought by the roll if we want. This would allow us to buy as many as we like with no restrictions. Also produce proofs to match demand. It would be nice to own a few proof Morgan dollars. As far as silver content being .999 that doesn't matter to me. I think the mint switched to .999 because it would be easier purchase all the silver blanks of the same quality. Then they could place an order based on demand. In the long run it would be more efficient and possibly cheaper for them to produce.

So, for those of us that work 8-5 how are we supposed to get online at 12 PM and but these and other offerings that go on sale at 12 PM?? I get so tired of this nonsense. I'd just like to purchase one of each. Do any of you think I'll stand a chance if I try to order at 6:30-7 PM, after work???

I'm just not getting the mintage limits. Why would they set a limit on these when they could make soo much money on something soo popular? I'm sure they could sell a ton more than the limit they set.

The mint can keep their crap. The modern offerings do nothing to pique my interests.

I personally would time my lunch to coincide with the 12PM start time but if possible about 12:15. Mintage is high enough for you to get past the crashing and captcha and complete if you can wait that 15 mins.

I use my work computer on our server room that is a fiber network inside and out so it's wicked fast, faster than the mints website by 10x but it's also a problem with their netflare and captcha system of entry which slows me down and is clunky. It just runs intereference if you ask me.

I think you stand a chance with some planning. If you wait until it's convienent, no I don't think you'll get one or whatever you like when you get around to it.

I do think if you don't have a computer but still tI me your break you stand a really good shot of getting what you want by placing an order from your cellphone.

On the V75 ASE last year my work computer was dead in the water. Too fast for netflare and it pegged me as a bot and blocked me out from completing. Even so I then went to my cellphone and got one.

Mostly it's about planning your break to coincide with the release and if you can't do that then I'd suggest getting time off or trading shifts if you really want it at mint release cost.

I work the 9-5 routine. But every situation is different for every person. I got the 2019S SAE and the 2020W V75. There's time to set things up to give you a decent chance if you really want it withot screwing your emplyoment on the process, but it requires some planning and maybe you have to sacrifice something to make it happen, it depends on the job you have.

Because they are struggling on silver to mint them. They want to sell them now and have the payments on the hook then buy the silver and mint them. The limits are for setting a window on how long this takes to accomplish the sales and then mint and fulfill.

Things without limits aren’t very popular and people aren’t gonna pay 80 bucks for an unlimited mintage. They would have basically just had to turn them into bullion if they did that. There’s also a much more in-depth answer about product perception for future sales, branding, leaving people wanting more etc. it’s better for them to have not enough than it is for them to have too many and have every product die on the after market.

A LOT of collectors have someone else who CAN get on at 12PM try to buy for them. Or if you can take your lunch break then. If you can't do that, bathroom break! (I see collectors all over the east coast sitting in bathroom stalls at noon trying to get through to the mint site on their cellphones.)

They didn’t set a mintage limit. It’s a product limit. Two completely different things. The mintage limit shows a dash. That means they can mint more for additional product offerings. Now, just because they can doesn’t mean they will. I’m sure it will depend on demand and what they’re actually able to do or get for silver. Just because they want a million more planchets to make more of these as an example, doesn’t mean they’ll be able to snap their fingers and get them before the year is out.

I don’t know why this is such a sticking point . To me pure silver is cooler than a 90% alloy. If the anniversary was a few years ago they might have been 90% and probably would have been. It was a hard change for good reason in 2019 that applied to everything and it’s just what it is. I think it should just be accepted as this is what things are in 2021. The 100th anniversary for the merc SLQ and WLH gave us 24k gold versions. That was a neat one time thing too. It’s not that big of a deal. Next year we can go back to worrying about the next limited edition ASE.
