I read up on it. Yes just a penny but thought it looked interesting with some markings, lettering etc.
Are you seeing something besides the normal lettering and numbers? It's just circulation hits on a normal Cent. It's not struck on a previously struck coin.
Suggestion, not being mean, just a suggestion: You should buy a Red Book and you will learn tons about various designs. Go to Whitman Publishing, the info therein is priceless
I’ll come back another time. Learn and look at all and research my coins. Lots to look through with coins and bills working at the bank and just tucked them away. Maybe I’ll have something worthwhile posting.
Appreciate it. I’m not usually sensitive, but I guess “ the burst your bubble” term is correct but hey that’s what we are here for. Just got off on the wrong “coin” so to speak lol. Thanks again!
I think I already welcomed you earlier, but if not, Welcome Pam. Your coin is in pretty good shape for being 76 years old, and certainly worth keeping. Do you need my address to send me my 2¢? LOL Thanks for sharing.
Welcome to coin talk!! It's a great place to learn!! Most members just enjoy looking at your coins so post away and ask any questions you want. It is best to do some research before you post and be more detailed with your question. A closeup of the area in question also helps!! Here are some sites that you might find helpful!! You need to keep doing what you are doing so you can learn. There's lots of ways to learn but CT is a good one.
