Was recently bidding on a 1795 large cent graded VF35 and it ended up going for about $85 more than I was willing to pay but I did win this auction for an 1812 LC for $41.57, It's graded G04 (details) and its pretty corroded but I like it really well for a filler and at that price :)
I feel like it is slightly undergraded? Perhaps very low VG Details? Not going to resubmit it, just want some opinions on the grade, What do ya'll think? 20210412_203818.jpg 20210412_203934.jpg 20210412_203759.jpg 20210412_204925.jpg 20210412_171125.jpg 20210412_170948.jpg

Yeah, the reverse is definitely a little better than the obverse...

Ohh. Everytime I see 1812 I can only think of the War of 1812 . Wouldn't be cool if a soldier owned this at one point !

YES, that would be cool! (not very probable tho cuz these would be fresh off the mint during the war and the soldiers would probably have older currency...) Cool to think about tho! :)

I given a lot of thought to buying a replica/copper round.. there are a lot of crappy ones but a few are nice (usualy the rounds more realistic then the replica's lol)

Ohh man . The elusive flowing hair . I've been looking to find one some day Metal Detecting . The closest I've found is a 1795 Liberty Cap bur sold it years ago for a lousy 58 bucks .:(
