I got these for a price which I feel was attractive. I have a few duplicates of these yet as a forum friend told me, if you see them in MS, get them. I am hopeful that one day I will complete the Shooting Taler registry set. Zurich 1859 NGC MS-61, Mintage 6,000 Zurich 1872 NGC MS-63, Mintage 10,000 Lugano 1883 NGC MS-64, Mintage 30,000
Those are some beautiful pieces, but the real questions is: When will regandon and yourself begin the one-on-one cage match to determine who has the better European taler collection? P.S., I REALLY like the last one! Wow! Great design on that one.
Thank you. Fortunately (for me) regandon and I do not overlap as he mostly focuses on German Commemoratives and Standard issues at the highest grades, while my focus is the Habsburg dynasty Austro-Hungarian Talers. He does also have a fabulous Shooting Taler set and has helped me expand mine.
I think I might get one of these in the future. If you wouldn't mind, could you tell me how much one of those Lugano talers sells for in MS? That is just one of the best designs I have ever seen.
Your coins are really nice. This is my only shooter. I bought it raw & now it is in an NGC slab. It will be preserved for future collectors.
