So when I went to add the photo of the new 1939 to my personal collection on my website, I discovered I already had one, now I don't know which one to keep. Both have their flaws and attributes - so which one do you guys like better?

I like the one you had in your set already. I think te new one could be mistaken for MS70'd

What a question, almost like asking me if I prefer breathing or eating. LOL OK got that out of my system. I'm gonna go with door number two Alex, the PCGS. The deep color of the NGC coin has strong appeal, but I just like how the mint toning frames the PCGS coin.

From what I have seen, you like the colorful ones. Take the new one.

I like the one in the 2nd photo of your last post, but then again, I'm not really into toned coins. I just think that the purples make it look (to me) like it's been improperly stored. I am certain that's not the case, but that's what my mind says nonetheless.

The first '39 posted has a reverse that looks like a Hubble photo of deep space. That's the one I'd keep- a universe on the back of a copper penny!

Keep the bottom one and get rid of the spotty 1939. I like the lusterous bottom 65 brown the best.

Though the spotted one does have a very interesting astrological look to it, it does bother me more than that toning spot in front of Lincoln's nose on the bottom one because I know the starry starry night look came from someone sneezing or talking over that poor naked coin!

So I'm leaning on keeping the bottom one - thank you everyone for your opinion, it helped!

Those are some real beauties charmy!
I especially like the the 1909 MS65 PCGS... Very interesting splotchy-spotted rainbow toning.

I like them both and would be tempted to keep both.

Charmy - pretty please keep on the look out for an 1893 colorful stunner. Will you be at FUN this year? I'd love to meet you.

    I say keep both coins
Why limit yourself to just 1 per date/mint?

and if you so choose to sell that starry sky one...How much? :D

Catbert, will do about the 1893. And have I got a surprise for you! I'm getting into Conder tokens. A friend of mine had some, and I fell in love with them! I'm at the Santa Clara show right now and bought some more. And yes, I'll be in FUN so please do stop by.

And AlexN, I think I'm going to keep the silvery one rather than the Starry night one, so send me a pm about if you're interested. Thanks.
