    Hello!

    Mike from the UK here.

I'm an avid collector of World coins who has a problem...

I recently acquired a collection of Jefferson nickels which, I'm ashamed to say, I know very little about.

Among them are several oddities such as a 1955 tripple die reverse (pf 65 ANACS), several double dies and D/D,S/S and S/S/S. Can't find any info anywhere about these coins. All are graded PF or MS by PCGS, NGC or ANACS. Around 130 coins in total.

Any info such as how and where to value these coins would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks.

    Mike

A couple of places to look. There's the "CherryPicker's Guide" series of books by Bill Fivaz and J.T Stanton. Also, Q. David Bowers has written a good Red Book guide, "The Official Red Book: A guide Book of Buffalo and Jefferson Nickels."

    That should get you started.

Mike, you can access Heritage coins and research recent and archived auctions. If I can be of further assistance, please setup your private messaging here . If you would make a list, perhaps I may be able to further assist you directly with current auction values.

As already noted there are many ways to check out what you have. If I were you I'd start with a copy of the Red Book by Whitman Publishing. But if your in a hurry, there are a lot of web sites with prices for coins. The PCGS web site has a slightly exagerated and inflated price guide similar to the Red Book but all are a sort of great source of information as to prices. You may want to spend some time and look through ebay but that could take some time and as with Heriatge Auction house if none of your coins are there, you just keep on searching.
My suggestion is to make a completed list of what you have. Look up as many of those as possible on the methods mentioned so far. Then what ever is left, just post here and someone will surely help you with what is left.
