I will go first, because I have been collecting halves about two years. I went bank hopping today, my search for halves, and that was a bust, so I bought other coins. After going through all the coins, I think I enjoyed searching halves more than I did these coins, although the quarters were not too bad. So, if I do start to collect any coins in addition to halves, it will be quarters.

As for the halves I have now:

    40%:
    1965x12 1966x24 1967x75 1968x68 1969x47

    90%:

    1964x8 1963x1 1960x1 1941x1.

Even if I sell the 40%, at this time, I do not plan on selling any of the 90%. Maybe when I have the volume of 90% that I do of 40%, I will consider it, but not now. If I were to sell them, it'd be due to hard economic times.

I would like to hear what other people who collect halves have to say. Is there any one coin I should be looking for?

    Happy New Year.:smile

Hi I also enjoy going Bank Hoping, I always ask for halves. And you get a lot of no’s, but this week They had $22.00 in halves and six of them were 40% Kennedy coins.
Two. 1967, two 1968 and two 1969 it is like being a Hunter. And they also had 37 Ike dollars it made my day. I do not sell them I am a true collector. I enjoy it and like hearing there are other people like me
