I really don't know anything about these coins. Any information would be appreciated. Where it's from, how it was used, how old it is. The coin has been bent and there is a good chunk out of the rim. I don't care so much about value, just want to know what it is. Thanks. Also, any pointers on getting a well lit pic? I'm mostly using my cell (and a led flashlight) but, even when I use my camera, there never seems to be adequate light. Is there some trick or equipment I need for a well lit, easy to see coin? Again, thanks.

I believe it is a 6 Van from Tu Duc of Annam (Vietnam) 1847-83

Found one of my own. Didn't even realize I had one of these.
