National Park Quarter Error?

Has anyone ever seen this before, with the rim continued through the date?

looking closer, i think it's just from where it was machined rolled.

 

Have you compared it to other Everglades quarters? I could be wrong but I think it is part of the design.

I have. It's not on them or any of the other NP quarters, but I did have another with the same ring at the date.

It’s not from a rolling machine. It’s an error. We’ve seen these before. If it were from a rolling machine, the date would also have marks through it.

 

It is through the date. The date and lettering around the reverse are incused.

 

Not an error and i agree its damage looks like a long scratch.

 

Yes it is an error and seen on etsy$1 million if you find one.
