I saw this coin on ebay, haven't bought it yet, but was just wondering if I'd be paying too much. I only have the BASIC membership to NGC and was wondering if a paid member could look of the value of a: 1883-O Morgan MS-62 STAR You see, the basic membership only lets me see regular coins, not stars. Any help as to the NGC value would be much appreciated. Pics Below:
They dont give prices for stared coins. It usually bumps their price up to between their current grade and the next grade up... somewhere in the middle IMO.
Beautiful coin... I would pay about 100$ for it, but not 175$ Just me though, I dont have a paid membership so I cant check that value for you.
I think you would be hard pressed to find an appropriate price guide fora coin like this. Toning would play a big part in the value of the coin. No price guide will ever cover that.
Your can verify the NGC certification number here: http://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/CertResults.aspx?CertNumber=2391565-007 And you will also see the Numismedia value as well as $39.60. That said ,the advice above that there will be some price fluction for the toning is good advice. But it looks like you can start at about $40.
