I am surprised that all I have found in my change all year as far as cents was 1 Lincoln Log Cabin coin. That's it. Where are the others? Are they being hoarded? Are the mintages small? I never had such problems finding new state quarters in my change. What's up with the 2009 cents? Also, I rarely find an Alaska Quarter in change either. Was that Quarter also a low mintage?
Do not worry you will find them and soon. Do not worry you will find them and soon. I'm seeing all three first issues in circ. here and most BU boxes and rolls (of the first three) have bottomed out and can be had for just a little over face value. I believe these cents will be readily availible for years to come and cheap.
Getting all 3 regularly. In fact, it seems I'm getting all the 09's in strangely high proportion to all other years. Don't know where you're at, but maybe its just geographic and they need to work their way to you?
I got none until October, and now I am getting lots of all three that were previously released. In addition I have gotten the Virgin Islands quarters etc.
I've gotton a few 2009 cents in central NY but none from the Denver mint. I also still waiting for a 2009 nickel, dime, or quarter.
Here in Central NY - it seems we are gettin them all the time you can even find them on the side of the road - too bad that some collectors cant find any, while non collectors throw them away
I haven't found anything new here in Virginia. I can't even find a D.C. quarter and I live right across the bridge from D.C.
I work at Walmart, so I see a lot of coins. I have received two of the cabin cents in the last five months. We had a lot of the 'formative' years cent and I have seen a lot of them in the tills. I have yet to see any of the last two cents released. I do run the register occasionally. I have yet to see any new nickels or dimes and a few of the quarters.
I am in VA! I See TONSSSSSS of them I got 8 rolls of them from the bank for $4 and sold them on ebay for $42! LOLLLLLLLLL I get more joy out of hearing that than I did the money made.
