Something a little different (from me, that is). This coin came up, I found it really attractive, and got it at a good price.

What does the label say? Obv-web.jpg Rev-web.jpg

66 i would've probably went with FB e.t.c if it wasn't such a worn strike.

The coin looks really clean and your photos are a little underexposed so I am guessing that the color and luster are better than your photos are letting on. Just look at those radial lines on the reverse periphery, especially on USofA, the luster has to be amazing. The coin is in PCGS plastic so it cant have a star. The bottom horizontal bands are a little weak but the top bands and vertical bands are very strong and carry it to FB.

    MS67 FB

From what I can see, not FB on bottom...went with 65...seems a bit weak on reverse strike for anything higher, but indeed nice toning.

MS 66 ....not NGC so no star....if it was, I would say it would be a toss-up (nice color but not definite star)....and I think it just misses Full Bands (bottom set is the cause)

Yeah, same here the reverse has the most contact and the lower bands are a little short on this one. I think that the coin was once dripping with luster. And very well could have been good enough market wise to garner a 67. With the photos present I think it is a little dark to grade that today.

If this helps, same photos with exposure bumped up one full stop (in PS):

Ooooh, that mark on the neck might drop it to MS66, I didn't see that on the first set of photos.

66 no FB, think the marks on the left side of the torch bands preclude it from FB. But if Lehigh says it’s FB I’m prepared to be wrong.

It's super close on FB, just just misses it on the bottom.
