First, welcome to CT. Unfortunately your coin has taken a hit that has displaced the metal in the ear area. It’s just PMD, post mint damage.

Hi and welcome to Coin Talk! When looking for a doubled ear cent look for what appears to be a second ear lobe below the main ear lobe as shown in the example below! Hope this helps and good luck!!

    Welcome to the neighborhood, Mariah!

Sorry! I don't see a doubled ear, either.

You cut off some vital areas on this coin. One is the LI of Liberty.
Most folks around here want to see major separation or it just isn't a Doubled Die. I see the doubling you are pointing to but it could be many a form of worthless doubling.

Thats a pretty good photo, it actually shows the fields really well.
Nice looking Cent. What does the reverse look like.
Not trying to kick you, we just need clearer photos of the Ear and any other doubling you see on the coin.
Oh yeah, and a photo of the reverse.

The LI in Liberty and the eye are key areas for this year for circulation strikes. I would also like to see the full obverse and reverse. This is unfortunately PMD.
