I know alot of peeps have complaints about the mint - i have never really had a problem with them -- But i am SICK and TIRED of their crappy servers who cant handle heavy volume. I sat and watched a screen for 20 minutes and the mint never posted the new products - come to find out its just that their servers were re-directing to old web pages because it couldnt handle the volume. anyoen else haning these problems?? and why cant the mint take a few hundred dollars of the milliosn in profits they make to upgrade??
the coins were released an hour ago - the havent been able to handle the volume. You may have been able ot order -- but others have not
Can't get thru on website or phone...been on hold for 30 minutes....and just as they answered the website came up....place order for sets at 12:58PM Oh well....seems nothing changes at the Mint
All I get that it will be available Sept 21 at 12:00 Eastern. They seem to really have problems getting started with new sales. No problem ordering now 1 PM.
i got my order confirmation at 12:55, but the mint has got to upgrade equipment. First it takes an hour to get peeps to complete an order -- then instantly a new product is backordered?? why put it up for sale if its ready for sale????
i ordered on of the thingies for begginers - i want to get my daughter into collecting... all the other products said in stock...
I got my order in also. Web site actually went pretty well in comparison to past experiences when they announce the sale of a new product, so I can't complain.....this time.
1:03 eastern. I almost passed out when the confirmation said "in stock and reserved" and not backordered!!!
the new westward journey nickle set, with the 6 nickles -- the website doesnt show any numbers as to how many will be minted.... does anyone know hwo many might be - -or is it an open ended quatity that they will continue to mint to fill demand?
There was no announced limitation from the Mint on the 2004 Westward Journey Nickle set. One day the Mint's web site said "No longer available" and that was it. I don't have the final number of sets sold from 2004 but I'd bet that someone does.
not sure what time zone i needed to reference... all was done online... in the past all their products came out at noon my time, i live in michigan, i would have to guess i am in the same time zone .... either way, the mint site is running smooth now. maybe they just had a new intern running the website
