I attended during the Friday public session which started 10AM.
My style is to locate what I'd like, buy, then scoot.
    Total time: 3 hours.

Fridays are nice because the crowd is smaller so it's easy to move around and to belly up to most tables.
Of course this is from the buyer's perspective.

I got to meet Charmy but that was the only CoinTalk person I saw.

    NGC had my coins.
Gave them nine for crossovers but three didn't make it.
Two were refused as being cleaned; the other as being a lesser grade than I asked for.
Of the six that crossed over, two came back higher, two even and two less (I gave the graders a bit of wiggle room on the coins).

The only REAL bummer was that my 1795 half cent didn't make it to the show.
The dealer will mail it to me later.

    Here's the coins I bought.

This one is for my type set:

This one is for my Capper Bust set:

Now I have to think about the Orlando FUN show in January.

glad you found what you were looking for - it can be difficult at times.

no one ever makes it down to our end at table 1000 :(

plenty of deals on raw Canadian dollars :)

Nice pickups Kanga, that Bust half dime looks pretty strong for VF20.

Great semi-report! Hey, at least you got to experience. That's what counts!!

Thanks for the report on the show. Love the Draped Bust, a beautiful example. Just out of curiosity the two that NGC said were cleaned, what is the current TPG? Wondering because I have a questionable one that I'm thinking of sending in.

One is SEGS. I don't know if they are in business anymore.
The other is ANACS. There's plenty of questions about their abilities, both past and present.

Agree on their abilities, that explains the problem you ran into. There's a lesson there for the rest of us. And a message why NGC and PCGS are the leaders in TPG's.

Nice buys, Kanga. the DBHD looks very strong for the grade, and evenly struck.
