Just picked up this Half Taler commemorating Salzburg's 1100 Years as a Bishopric State. Die was cast on a wavy flan, as was the case in that era. I believe this to be one of the nicer Taler designs. This is this Half Taler's older brother, graded PCGS MS-63.
I'll say! I love these designs. These days they'd be so unconventional. Would you care to say more about the characters on the coins?
