Hello All. It has been a while since I last posted anything on this site. I have a couple of items I am hoping someone on here might know a little about. Any information in regards to these would be greatly appreciated. I understand the silver content alone is a considerable amount, but I am curious if there is any additional antique/gambling collector value. Here are the items: Old Silver Board Game #1 Old Silver Board Game #2 Thank You.
The first thing that comes to my mind is the old "Punch-Out" board games of the 50's. They would usually cost the player anywhere from 1c-10c per punch and the winner received the amount hidden behind it. The "operator" of the game paid X dollars for the game and gained from $1-$10 for selling all of the punch-outs on the board. As a rule, the operator only paid about 10% to winners.
Here's a link I found to a few similar. I love them (history)TYhttps://www.collectiblesonlinedaily.com/Hummel/vintage-punch-board.html
Thank you to everyone who replied/liked. I found an interesting site that has a short video from "The Flim Flam Man" (1969) showing a punchboard scam. https://www.deceptology.com/2010-10/punchboard-scam-in-flim-flam-man.html
