It's hard to tell if it's the same font by the pics. If it is a dropped letter, it's a pretty cool find.
Very nice. Not something I usually would 'look' for but certainly something that you catch in the moment. That's cool
So this is like if the grease impacted into the recessions in the die, congeals or something, falls out of the die and onto the planchet at striking? so it’s like a strikethrough, but because the item struck is from a design element on the die? Does it have any more requirements? How do TPGs attribute this?
Correct, from my understanding. The dropped letter will appear as incuse on the new strike, whereby the actual mm is raised.
Is it raised or is it stamped into the quarter? Looks like it's stamped into the quarter and not raised.
I've been under the impression that we aren't supposed to be watching youtube videos about coins for accurate information. Much like using Etsy to gauge how much our pocket change is really worth.
I don't watch those videos. I just happened to see the preview for it. Many are fountains of misinformation.. The only YouTube videos I watch are metal detecting, gardening and Spanish pop videos.
I just watched the video and it's neat. I like the way he explains all the different mint errors. Ok cool. Do you own it now?
