It is known as a "dropped letter."

I prefer to call it a "Dropped Element".

It's hard to tell if it's the same font by the pics. If it is a dropped letter, it's a pretty cool find.

Ya. know . I was going to say that but didn't want to embarrass myself if I was wrong . :(

Very nice. Not something I usually would 'look' for but certainly something that you catch in the moment. That's cool :D

So this is like if the grease impacted into the recessions in the die, congeals or something, falls out of the die and onto the planchet at striking?

so it’s like a strikethrough, but because the item struck is from a design element on the die? Does it have any more requirements? How do TPGs attribute this?

Correct, from my understanding. The dropped letter will appear as incuse on the new strike, whereby the actual mm is raised.

"Struck through dropped letter (or number, or if a design feature, dropped filling."

Is your Quarter the same one shown in this YouTube video?
    It's the cover picture..

Is it raised or is it stamped into the quarter? Looks like it's stamped into the quarter and not raised.

I've been under the impression that we aren't supposed to be watching youtube videos about coins for accurate information. Much like using Etsy to gauge how much our pocket change is really worth.

I don't watch those videos. I just happened to see the preview for it. Many are fountains of misinformation..

The only YouTube videos I watch are metal detecting, gardening and Spanish pop videos.

Ok. That's what I figured. Spanish Pop? Eye candy eh? :) I personally prefer Kpop and Jpop myself.

I just watched the video and it's neat. I like the way he explains all the different mint errors.

Ok cool. Do you own it now?
