FFIVN and I filled the last hole on the first page of our Dansco 7070 today. It was a pretty good feeling Obviously there aren't any amazing coins in our set, but we managed to finish it on a pretty tight budget and I'm pretty proud of that. All of the modern coins have been found in circulation as well. And how are you doing these pictures? Must be quicker than any idea I have. I did a couple today but would like to know if there is another easier way.
Just with my iphone6, then I use slazzer (Free website) to crop the background out and add the background. The put the obverse/reverse pictures together. Takes just a few minutes per coin. Easy peasy. Would take longer if my pictures were better probably lol.
I did one today, it's on my profiles media page if you want to check it out. I did it on a slideshow program. I cropped the background by hand. It took some time.
That's a pretty good job. I like the slazzer and remove.bg sites specifically for ancients since they have irregular edges. Makes it way easier.
Nice set congratulations i need to still fill in plenty of holes mabey I'll find a 1950 D this week or tomorrow.
Yup. I have multiples of everything else. Can't find the other 2 to save my life though. I'm restarting my nickel search again on Friday with 2 boxes a week.
I would argue all those early coppers are pretty amazing. Sure, they wouldn't make the cover of an auction catalog but if you look at coins in the context of history (like I do), you see that they served their intended purpose well in a different time and would have tales to tell if only they could speak. Maybe they're not high-grade, high-dollar specimens but pretty cool nonetheless. I'd be happy to have them in my collection.
I finished my collection of circulated Flying Eagle and Indian Head cents, not just the standard album holes, but the complete set of mint deliberate die changes. The links in the attached pdf provide background information. Here is a list. What do you think? http://members.iphouse.com/frech001/Al's Flying Eagle and Indian Head Cent Complete Design Set.pdf
