This is my first thread in 2021 , I bought a lot of coins in the first two months of the year but unfortunately I did have time to take care of them , posting them in groups on CT will force me to identify them , print the labels and put them in mylar flips. I created this small group of coins based on some similarities , are almost from the same period BC and the same region , central Mediterranean , representing the Roman Republic , their friends and their legendary enemies. I never owned before coins form Carthage or Syracuse , I did my best to identify them. I hope you would like them, please post similar examples !! ZEUGITANA, Carthage , Second Punic War. Thanks @Ryro and @Alegandron ! @Alegandron as I already told you , I was motivated to buy the Carthaginian coins by your previous threads on this type of coins. I also noticed that @Justin Lee has a very interesting webpage about Carthaginian coinage.
Thanks for the call out, @singig! I think this is the link you're referring to: https://iomegacollection.home.blog/punic-timeline/ I LOVE your Timoleon! That horse is exquisite! Mine is worn, but just feels great in hand. And here is my current fave Syracuse coin: @Alegandron I love you Timoleon with thunderbolt! I've been on the look out for one that fits my budget and desires.
Went to your site again. AWESOME job. Really like that Punic Timeline! I kept thinking that it would be fun to drop my coins on it just to see how they lie. Great job! Thanks on the Timoleon. Yeah, the Tbolt is why I snared it!
Thanks @Justin Lee ! You did a impressive work with this webpage following the timeline with so many beautiful coins ! I had the chance to visit the city years ago , I would like to share with you a photo that I took with the Gulf of Tunis(direction Sicily) and the Baths of Antoninus or Baths of Carthage.
