I'm pretty sure these are minor errors, but still errors... Also adding a picture of a Denver token found in my last penny roll search. It's pretty cool. I did try some of the advice on picture taking. However, for closeups I used my cheap microscope. I hope the pictures are a little better. Anyway, none are probably valuable, but they are still cool finds. The 1983 has some pretty neat die cracks on the reverse at the upper portion of both sides of the building. The building itself has a few errors, including the pillar to the right of Lincoln.
Cool, those Denver tokens come used to come in the mint sets. Sometimes they get caught up in change and confused for a cent. I found one at work once, although it was Philiadelphia. give me a minute to look at the others
Yeah! It was pretty cool to find. I've never found one in a penny roll until the last box I bought. Had to keep it.
With the microscope it's a bit clearer but very hard to take a picture of it. I tried to add arrows but I do understand it's not easy to make out in the photo.
My father in law showed me one of those mint tokens a few years ago. He got in change at a local store. I told him what it was. He put it back in his pocket and spent it like a penny.
@SouthSide ...try to stabilize your scope before you pull the trigger. If you can avoid using the button on the scope, like using the menu selection in the software, you won’t jostle the scope as you capture the shot, ergo: cleaner, in-focus pics. ...jmho...Spark
That's funny. It's still pretty cool to find one in a roll of coins. I've never found one before now.
hey @SouthSide you almost have those close ups right. keep at it. great eye catching that die crack and i think it goes rim to rim also like @Inspector43 mentioned above. great job! good luck to ya
