    Lots of signs of die deterioration on the coin which would indicate that it is Not FS as well.

    In most cases, having 6FS does not bring a significant premium to 5FS. The only people willing to pay more are those who are attempting to assemble a complete set of 6FS coins, which is impossible because they don't exist for a bunch of date/mms.

    AU53 at best, worth FV...a spender...yeah, you really need to study what 5FS and 6FS is...imo...Spark

    There are In hand that is the closest I have ever found to a five step nickel for 63' Yes, there are a few out there, But, one of the years that that it is probably the best you are gonna get. Unless slabbed, and some of those are questionable. My point is some years you may never find a FS nickel.

    that is not an excuse to give a designation to a coin that fails the basic criteria.... such as there are 5 stairs visiable, or ANY stairs, for that matter in the example we are discussing.
