I have several ASE's never removed from mint tubes I have been trying to sell. Of course I get the pawn shop offers of way below spot but dont seem to get any serious takers. I have compared my prices to all the local coin shops and I beat the best one's price by a full $1.00 per coin. Right now I am asking between $4.00 and $5.00 over spot each (depending on quantity). Is this unreasonable?? I AM NOT ASKING FOR FORUM MEMBERS TO BUY, I UNDERSTAND SELLING IS DONE IN A DIFFERENT SECTION ON THIS SIGHT. I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT PEOPLE HERE BELIEVE IS FAIR.
Yes, $4 over spot is high. $2 is more reasonable - although with enough searching you can find someone willing to pay any price.
Right around this price is what I usually see for single unc except the 2009 unc I've been seeing for $22. Of course the W adds more. :crying:
What W? The mint is only going to produce the ASE in Bullion coinage without the W. No 2009 W Proof ASE this year. The 2010 W ASE should be back next year. (I hope). Bruce
The grade won't matter if unslabbed...bullion is bullion, unless you get lucky on eBay, but they'll wipe out your profits anyways. Offer them here at just under what dealers sell them for and they'll sell.
$4 over spot is what most dealers here in Chicago charge. You can find ones that only charge a $3 premium, but you have to look, and look, and look, and call, and call, and look. Eventually you'll find ones for only $3 over spot.
