    Nice pick-up! As others mentioned, this is the 1824/2 JR-1, which is the more common of the two 1824/2 die marriages. All 1824 dimes are overdates (as are the 1823 dimes), likely attributable to the fact that Chief Engraver Robert Scot was aging and eventually died in November 1823. The mint had to use what dies they had on hand to support production, so older unused dies were overdated and pressed into service. You’ll notice that every series struck during that time (other than half cents) have at least one overdate during the 1823-1825 time period.
