Hi there. Your coin is a 10 centimes from Belgium. I can't make out the date, but it's somewhere between 1941 and 1946.

Its a 10 Centimes from Belguim. Issued during the German Occupation (WW II). The material is Zinc. And the reverse is upside down.

There are two types, KM #125 (yours), that says "BELGIQUE-BELGIE" and KM #126 having "BELGIE-BELGIQUE" on the obverse.

Oops, sorry. I knew it was a 10 centimes, but I typed 20 by mistake. :desk:

    Hi TheBigH and goossen

Thanks a lot for the feedback... Still wondering how it ended up in the streets of Mumbai... But then it IS the charm of coin collection - right :hail:

Just a bit more information: the 3 shields are the shields of the City of Antwerp (left, capital of the province of Antwerp), the City of Namur (top, capital of the province of Namur) and the City of Hasselt (right, capital of the province of Belgian Limburg).

On the other side it's the double L III monogram of king Leopold III.
    Designer was Oscar Jespers.
