I, for one, could not be happier about the new design chosen for the reverse of the Lincoln cent! :hail: This could be the beginning of a new era for numismatists! The fact that they're using a symbolic image rather than a person or building is certainly a step in the right direction.

I can live with it. I do prefer the Union Shield from the IHC or two cent though, the older shield design proportions seem better to me.

Yeah, they didn't pick the best design, but I am shocked that picked something that was actually tolerable. I think it'll look nice on proofs.

The design looks interesting, especially magnified, though I'm not sure out it'll come out in real life.

Still, it's better than a lot of the other designs they came up with over the years, and will probably look good on a UNC coin.

well the 2009 looked better in hand than paper, so I hope this one will too. I like this one. glad they picked it

    Finally a decent design.

That makes one since 1947, with the elimination of the Walking Lib $1/2.

ah, don't worry, they'll change their minds!

But at least they can copy nice designs.

On second thought, they do have time to 'ugly it up.'
