i searched at least 3 x a day. few hours in total. just to read, write, educate myself, get new knowledge on this exciting coin hobby. maybe it will be a lifetime job or maybe not. so far so good. i enjoyed every moment of it. i also searched coin related matters, coin store and supplies websites, auctions and so forth. what about you?.
You don't want to know...before school for about 30+ mins and then about at noon for lunch a few mins and then after school...its almost all the time--- It is a lifetime job learning about coins...you will never learn it all....and neither will I or anyone else.... Speedy
superdave, how true! I tell my fiancee I need to go to bed, then I climb into bed with a notepad and search this site Probably a total of 2hrs a day
Very interesting question/thread. I actually just joined this fourm back in March. I had collected for 12-15 yrs prior and got back into it. Since finding this site I must say that I visit it every day wether working, traveling or at home. What I have found most interesting is after a while you begin to see all the questions that come about in the different forums. Reading the answers/replys to these questions one quickly finds out whom is very knowledgeable by validating their responses via research. Without inflating too many ego's I have too say there are some rather experienced people here within a very broad topic range. I for one consider myself a intermediate as far as knowledge in a specific area. I have also accumulated addition knowledge within this area just by perusing for those whom I consider "very experienced". I give this site for the most part 95.5% and hope to be a part of this for some time to come. Without doubt, the people I make reference to, here is a "Salute" for sharing your knowledge, even to those folks who write in and profess they have none..guidance and a friendly hello are the norm here. Thanks...RickieB
I don't drink to unwind, I'm getting to old and tired to lift weights to ease my body of negative energy, so I can spend a couple of hours on this site or ten minutes depending on stuff.
I try to check the site every day when I have a few spare moments. It is an amazing place combining fun and education! Mostly, it's shown me how much I don't know about the hobby, and how many traps there are to fall into. Interestingly enough, probably the greatest impact has been to STOP me from buying coins, and making mistakes. So until I get up to speed, I'm just filling holes in folders with change and looking for "free" silver while I learn more. When I start buying again, hopefully it will be with more knowledge and a better plan. Thank you to everyone.
It depends on how busy it is that day Some days I spend 3 - 4 hrs, some days 8 - 10 hrs. You think I can type all that with just 1 finger in less time ?
Well Andy - numismatics is my life. If I'm not working or sleeping - I'm doing something related to numismatics. Plus I've got forty eleven people looking for me - all the time
It is good to have a passion in life. To many people waste the moments of a day. Excuse me now for I have to watch bloops and blunders of foreign commericals on TV now. I only saw it once before and I forgot why I watched it in the first place so I need to watch it again.
