I probably could have gotten a slightly higher grade, but I happend to ID the VAM (is one I was on the look out for) soo.... only hint... ICG slab... Vam not ID'd on slab... Guess the grade and guess the VAM PS. if it was one of you trying to snipe me, you failed lol and I still got it for only $66 at a guess whoever was bidding against me had id'd the vam as well
I'd give it a 64 from photos. Has a 65 reverse but not obverse...almost a 63 obv but will stay with 64 overall. Nice 21 Morgan.
Ok a lil early but posting now as it seems appropiate... I'm still looking for VAM confirmation on it however but I will share my thoughts on that as well and see what you guys think... As for the VAM issue... I thinking it is a VAM-3o3 (goldfish) early stage.. the goldfish is visible off her nose and the polish mark on the rear matches as well but I can't verifiy the front polish mark or polish lines between the legs from the sellers pic's... This makes me think it might have been a test strike made during the polishing process.. or the pic's just not good enough to show the other markers... Won't know for sure until it is in hand though... Also the "V" when fully blown up appears as 3 dots with the rest of the V being reflection (again can't be positive from the pics) The slab seem right and the ID verifies looking forward to getting it in hand and posting you guys some better pics... worst case it'll go to ANACs for determination... (anything i submit goes to pcgs or ngc but ANACS is the only PCG that does all coneca listed vams... possibly even to coneca if anacs can't call it (and still calls it genuine lol)
Honestly, I think you guys are off on Pluto somewhere. Credit these VAM flakes for getting you so worked up. Early die state of the goldfish? I can’t believe what I’m hearing. And you don’t even see that big mark in the field just under the 2nd U in PLURIBUS, that one went flying right by you, or even that small chip in the S. Or that stray die crack on the reverse by the star. I just can’t believe this is the type of thing you’re in hot pursuit of instead. In all candor, take a good hard look at this. Just glad ICG isn’t taking any of this seriously... http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.compute.amazonaws.com/wiki/1921-P_VAM-3O3
OK Eddie... take a better look here... My coin below OH and last but not least also from the link... Oh my... could that be a matching die clash? So yeah... I'm pretty damn sure it's an early stage VAM 3o3 or test strike during the polishing process....
