Spent most of my day off working on my website, and posting new notes and other information. I sometimes find it hard to believe i sit for hours on end, and only get a couple dozen notes listed. Sometimes, finding the historical information i like to include can be down right daughting trying to find. Sometimes, i just have to give up for the lack of info (at least info in english) Alot of the notes posted are pretty cool IMHO Guyana - Added several new notes, P-21f, P-22e, P-23f and a few others not yet listed in the Krause publications. Haiti - Added P-260a Honduras - Added 2 notes for P-80A, P-84, P-85 and a couple notes not yet listed Hong Kong - Added P-325b, P-325c and a note that is not yet listed Indonesia - Added P-79, P-122(a or b), P-127b, P-141e and a note not yet listed Thanks for looking!!
Whoops!! The Hong Kong Note is showing a broken link friend... Heads up!! And I really like that 2 1/2 1961 note in Indonesia!! Beautiful..and the site is looking just as good as it always has!! :thumb: :thumb: RickieB
thanks for looking covert coinc, RickieB and urbanchemist :thumb: i fixed the Hong Kong link, i missed a needed underscore lol i really havent been buying much lately, or for a while actually. I bought 1 lot from a site that included over 200 notes from dozens of countries. It will take me forever to post all them
Very nice! There are a lot of similarities in our collections of world notes -- I just got the new Hong Kong note the other day and I haven't cataloged it yet. I got a very interesting Indonesian note recently: It was originally a Japanese occupation note, 1942 Issue, for the Dutch West Indies, but later (in the mid-1950s?) received on overprint on the back and issued as an RII (Republik Islam Indonesia) note. For Haiti, have you seen the awesome P-271 bicentennial note with the gold foil on the right side?
my collection of world notes is made up almost entirely from the more common notes ie. notes i can afford lol someday, i do hope to go back someday and pick some of th emore pricey notes... but for now, i am content with just filling what holes i can afford For the P-271 note, i have never seen one in person.
That engraving is truly AMAZING! the intricacy of all those lines with all those subjects ... i would get lost trying to engrave that! You can easily see the muscle movements of the horse, the smoke fromt he guns ect and still easily make out each and every man. Nice pick :thumb: thanks for taking a peek
